About me
I’m a freelance UX writer and content strategist with a background in everything from direct marketing to above-the-line advertising. Over the past 20+ years, I’ve written brand campaigns, crafted tone of voice guidelines, ghostwritten wine magazines, and shaped user journeys for banking apps, investment platforms, and global publishing tools.
These days, I focus on helping teams design digital experiences that guide people – clearly, confidently, and with just the right level of support. I’ve found my niche in UX because I enjoy the challenge of helping all sorts of users get to where they want to go, especially when they’re navigating something complex.
How I work
While I’ve spent much of my career embedded in teams, I now also work as a consultant – someone who can come in, make sense of the problem, and help shape the content approach. That might mean writing the key journeys. It might mean creating a tone of voice guide. It might just mean spotting the thing that’s not working and quietly fixing it. You can see more about the kinds of things I do on my Services page.
And the elephant in the room? Tools like ChatGPT and Claude are already changing how we work. But they haven’t replaced us … yet. The more I use them, the more convinced I am that you still need a person to oversee them – someone who understands the challenge, can shape the message and knows when it’s working.
If you’d like to work together – or just chat about content, clarity, or the future of writing – feel free to get in touch.
